Black marble typically offers more visible veining and movement. Black granite is generally harder and denser. Both are included in Obsidian, so the right choice depends on your design and how the space will be used.
What finish is best for black stone?
Polished is the hero finish, showing the depth and natural movement of the stone. Suitability varies by stone, and other finishes are subject to availability.
Can Obsidian be used for feature walls and bars?
Yes. Feature walls, bars, lounges and statement interiors are among its recommended applications.
Will slabs vary in veining and tone?
Yes. Natural veining and tonal variation differ from stone to stone and slab to slab. We recommend viewing slabs for your project.
